Apartment Makeover

In the master bedroom, the layout was reworked to improve the experience of the space. The bed was repositioned so that the client can now look out of the window upon waking, instead of having it behind the bed as before. The wall behind the bed features a wallpaper highlighted with soft cove lighting, adding a gentle glow to the room. Existing furniture was repurposed and refinished in shades of beige and taupe to match the updated palette.

Overall, the design brings together simple materials, soft colours, and thoughtful planning to create a home that feels fresh, comfortable, and easy to live in.

This apartment makeover focuses on the living, dining, and master bedroom, bringing in a contemporary style that is clean, functional, and cohesive. The design uses a soft palette of pastel green and off-white, paired with subtle textures to create a calm and welcoming home.

In the living room, a false ceiling with recessed lighting and cove details adds depth without making the space feel heavy. Wainscoting along the walls brings in a classic touch, while the TV wall is highlighted with fluted paneling and a floating TV unit that keeps the look light and uncluttered. The overall approach is minimal, with just enough detailing to add interest.

The dining area follows the same design language, creating a seamless flow from the living space. A custom cane-shuttered bookcase serves a dual purpose—concealing the inverter while also tying in with the cane dining chairs. This use of cane adds warmth and a subtle texture to the space without overpowering the overall look.
